Shoutout to the AI art that's causing drama in our art group

Our art group had a talk about using AI for making pictures. Someone brought in a scene they made with a computer tool. It mixed old painting styles with new ideas. They did not touch a brush or sketch anything. A friend who paints for a living got really upset. She says AI just mimics without really knowing art. I am stuck thinking about what counts as real creativity now.
