Saw a guy at the local coffee shop selling prints of his AI art

I was at Brew Lab on 6th street last Saturday grabbing a cold brew and this guy had a little table set up outside. He was selling prints of these landscapes that had that weird smooth look you can always spot. Three people asked if they were photos and he said no they're AI generated and they just walked away without buying anything. Has anyone else seen people trying to sell AI art in person like that?

Is it just me or are people actually setting up little popup galleries for AI stuff now? I've seen three different guys try this at farmers markets over the last month, and every single time the setup looks exactly the same, right down to the glossy paper and the same ocean wave or mountain peak images. It's like watching someone try to sell concert tickets outside a venue that doesn't exist anymore.

A buddy of mine tried something similar at a craft fair over in Oakville last fall. He spent like 200 bucks on a nice printer and fancy paper, set up a whole booth next to the candle ladies. People would walk up, ask what kind of camera he used, and the second he said it was AI they'd just kind of nod and move on. He sold two prints the whole day and one was to his own mom. He packed it up early and hasn't touched the thing since.
