Rant: I paid $50 for an AI art course that taught me to type 'in the style of'

The whole thing was a six hour video of a guy telling me to put famous artist names after my prompts, which I already knew from a free blog post. It felt like paying for a recipe that just says 'add salt'. Has anyone else been tricked by a super basic paid guide for this stuff?

Yeah, the "add salt" recipe thing is spot on. I used to think those courses were worth it until I saw how basic they really are.

But what if the real value is in the community you join? I paid for a baking course that seemed simple, but the private forum connected me with people who gave me specific fixes for my high-altitude kitchen. That support network was the hidden gem for me.

That's a fair point about the forum, but a lot of those groups just turn into people asking the same basic questions over and over.
