PSA: That AI art 'style transfer' tool wrecked my portfolio review
Had a big meeting with a local gallery owner in Austin last Thursday to show my digital paintings. I used an AI style transfer tool on 3 pieces just to see what it'd do, and stupidly left those versions in my portfolio by accident. The gallery owner spotted them immediately and asked why my brushwork looked 'soulless' - I had to admit it was AI. She spent the whole rest of the meeting talking about authenticity and now she won't even look at my original work. Has anyone else had AI accidentally mess up a real opportunity like this?
