My cousin tried to convince me his AI portrait was a real painting
He showed me this 'painting' of our grandma at a family BBQ, swore he spent weeks on it. I zoomed in and the signature was just a weird text blob that said 'DreamShaper v5'. He still argued it counted as his creative work because he typed 'old lady smiling, oil painting style'. Has anyone else had someone get this defensive over an obvious AI image?

My coworker tried to pass off a Midjourney landscape as his own watercolor.

Oh wow, that's next level lazy. Did he at least try to print it on fancy paper or something? I'd be tempted to "accidentally" spill coffee on it and see if the colors run. The nerve of some people, lol.

Seriously? @lindab49's coffee test is a good idea, but I'd just ask him to show his brush strokes in person.
