Just realized my AI art tool is using a specific artist's style without credit

I was messing around with a popular image generator last week, trying to get a fantasy landscape. I typed in a prompt for a 'misty forest with glowing mushrooms' and got a result that looked exactly like the work of a digital painter I follow on ArtStation. I checked her gallery, and the composition and lighting were a direct match. I learned the model was likely trained on her portfolio without permission. It's not just copying a general idea, it's replicating a living artist's signature look. Has anyone else found their prompts accidentally spitting out work that mimics one specific person's style?

I've noticed this too with a few artists I follow, and now I make sure to add the actual artists name in the negative prompt to try to get the tool to avoid those specific styles. It's not a perfect fix but it helps a bit, and I always check if the result looks too close to someone's actual portfolio before posting anything.

Yikes, I've had that happen. My attempt at a "cyberpunk street" just looked like a direct rip of a specific concept artist's linework. It feels less like a tool and more like a ghost machine sometimes.
