Hot take: AI art failed me on a logo for my fire station fundraiser

I spent 4 hours feeding prompts into three different AI tools last week and every single logo came out looking like a melted Dalmatian with a hose. I ended up having a kid from the local high school art club draw it for $20 and it's actually PERFECT. Has anyone else hit a wall where AI just cant nail that human touch?

Didn't I read somewhere that those AI art tools are actually trained on stolen artwork from real artists without paying them? That would explain why the logos all look so weird and disjointed, they're just mashing up pieces of other people's work without understanding what makes a good design. I mean your fundraiser logo needed to actually represent firefighting and community spirit, not look like some abstract mess of a half-melted dog. The high school kid probably understood what you needed because they actually cared about making something meaningful.

I read that AI basically just remixes existing images instead of truly designing.
